Great Sunday

So yesterday turned out to be one of the best so far. I finally made it out to Sumner Beach and the town out there and it was truly amazing. The six of us got there, took some photos, played a quick game of touch rugby on the sand - awesome - and then hit the waves for a little body boarding. The water was around 60 degrees so a little cold but felt real refreshing. The waves weren't ask big on the east side as they are on the west side of the island but were still huge from my experience and carried the same strong currents and rip tides as the west coast beaches. Catching a wave from one of those and you can easily body board a good 30 feet! Next we all went to tour the town a bit and found another great fish and chips place. They are literally on every corner here - they give out huge portions of deeply fried food for extremely cheap (way more food than McDonald's for less cost!) Anyway I just waited till I got home but everyone else enjoyed it :) Next was the hike up the mountain side. This was where the views were just breathtaking. (Pictures to be up soon via facebook) The best part is we got everything done in just under 4 hours and there is still so much to see over there so we'll definitely be going back. We made it back just in time for some quick pasta and a viewing of an all-time classic, "Billy Madison."
