Taupo Hot Spring
On Sunday we all found it wouldn't be a trip to Taupo without visiting one of it's many geo-thermal spas. This was only a couple of minutes from our bach and was completely free. The water was crystal clear, at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit in certain areas and ran into a refreshing cool river. This was just the way to go out that we all needed and let me tell you - it was extraordinary. We stayed there and relaxed for at least a good 3 hours, just laying in the hot springs or chilling out in the river watching goats walk by on the opposite side of the river. What a remarkable natural occurring event that made the weekend that much better!
