For those less educated on the subject, including me, wikipedia provides a clear and concise definition for us - "Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South East London. Its overall sound has been described as "tightly coiled productions with overwhelming bass lines and reverberant drum patterns, clipped samples, and occasional vocals" - that sounds about right.
