Foam Party

Wellington gave us a pretty good welcoming party last night as part of Massey University's O-Week. Although I'm not going to school there I am staying in their accomodations - that way I know a lot of other people and can meet a lot of new people too. The Accomodations are pretty much the same style as Ilam: 5 people, one kitchen, shower and bathroom. I currently am in a temporary flat however thanks to the craziness of classes and trying to get settled in to Victoria University. I'll probably move in tomorrow if all goes well.

Now to the fun part. The foam party was hosted at a local bar here in Wellington, not too far of a walk from "The Cube" (my flat/apartment complex). This was a Massey University event however I can go to them because the University recognized our Christchurch situation and gave us access to all of their activities - even though we won't enroll there. The party was exactly like how it sounded - lots of people crammed up dancing with a huge foam shooter in the corner just coating people with it as they danced. I met up with some other Drake Students - Megan, Morgan, Carter - along with a handful of Kiwi's that I hope to get to know better soon. It was a lot of fun for a Wednesday night, especially since everyone had class early in the morning.

I don't know if everyday is a drinking day here but it sure seems like it. Classes are really being put on the back-burner here although from my experience so far, they seem to be pretty legit in terms of difficulty. Oh who am I kidding? I need to pass these classes which requires a useless 50% : )
